The Complexity Of Our Journeys: they are not wrong & neither are you.

Many years ago i was speaking with spirit about the multiple pathways people would take on their spiritual journey. I had always known and felt that in this lifetime psychedelics and anything that took me out of this present moment was not something that would mix well with me. I came from a family line that moved through every kind of addiction to avoid their present reality, disassociating & avoiding their pain. My focus was to root back into this present reality, becoming in tune with my physical body in the most raw way that i could and feeling every discomfort and emotion that was repressed and looking it in the eye.

While becoming open to others experiences and many other peoples journeys, I’d find people who would be more focused on psychedelics and becoming more focused on spirit rather than rooting themselves in. The duality of what was more harmful and “wrong” for me, being the medicine for another brought me much to think about.

The complexity of us all, like little ants in a colony follow our little paths and unravelling from our own distortions in the ways we intuitively felt guided too. I’d watch those guided by psychedelics, knowing they must have had lifetimes working with these plants and guiding people with such wisdom, bringing through the same messages in this lifetime. The task I had of rooting myself in and mending the gap between spirit and this current reality, would be something others ancestors had already patched up, allowing these souls to walk freely in merging these worlds together with ease or perhaps they’d already bridged that gap at an earlier point in their life. It didn’t stop there..  I’d watch those becoming more selfish with their time and focusing on their own needs after years of self sacrifice and ignoring their own. In turn, I’d watch those becoming more open and giving after years of being self focused and contained to their own matters.

Like the many plants that grow around the world in many climates, some needing sun, others rain.. I realised nobody is wrong… nobody is right. The cactus is not wrong for needing the sun & the fern is not wrong for needing the shade. It got me thinking about how we judge people for not doing what we think is right, forgetting they have rhyme and a reason for why they like to be so vulnerable, so secretive, so joyous or why they prefer to be alone. We do not know the complexity of another’s journey, especially their journey within. Our commandments we make for ourselves are nothing but stories to another who does not share them.. that does not make them wrong or right. It is just.. their journey.

We are so quick in this third dimensional world to judge what doesn’t “fit” for us, as it feels “wrong” or we are ignorant to another’s truth and method of madness as we haven’t experienced it yet.. but we fail to understand the complexity of our souls, our psyches, our physical bodies, our emotions & there is not one size fits all in any category.

Maybe someone’s calling is to be more connected to their sensual side, manifesting in the material world or disconnecting with the “norms” of life. You don’t know the phase of the journey they are in or where they are being called to, to judge because it doesn’t work for you makes little sense. Just like the insects and animals work in their own climate with their own tasks in keeping earth balanced, we as spiritual beings (and yes, we are all connected with spirit) work just like the animal kingdom in moving through our own inner labyrinths to find balance in this world.

Just like the printing on your finger tips you are unique & so is your path. While you understand this for you, remember this for another & give grace for their journey. Their path can have a lot to teach you if you are open to it… your path in turn teaching them.
